GETTING STARTED · HOME MODELLING

Start with your
home model.

Build the shape of your home, add the things that affect heat flow, then explore it in 2D and 3D.

01

CREATE THE HOME

Begin with the closest layout.

  1. Choose the property form, number of floors and bedrooms. Recoheat selects the closest architecture template.
  2. Choose central heating and its fuel, or choose Other to add heating later.
  3. Name the home and create it. Your model opens in the shared editor.
  4. Connect Home Assistant now, later, or from the editing tools.

A template is a quick starting point. You can change rooms, dimensions, openings and contents afterward.

02

STRUCTURE

Match the shape of your home.

Choose Edit, then Structure. Select a room, wall, corner, door, window, vent or stair directly in the plan. Drag for quick changes or open Settings for exact values.

  • Add an external extension from an outside wall.
  • Divide a room with an internal wall.
  • Add floors, openings and stairs where air and people move.
  • Save the selected item before moving to another task.
03

CONTENTS

Add what changes comfort and heat.

Switch to Contents to add and position furniture, sensors, appliances and heat sources while the house structure stays protected.

  • Name each object so it is easy to recognise later.
  • Set its position, size and rotation in the first editing panel.
  • Place stoves, radiators and other heat sources in their real rooms.
  • Add sensors at a representative height and away from misleading heat sources where possible.
04

REVIEW

Finish editing, then explore.

Use the prominent Finish editing control and inspect the whole home in 3D. Move between floors, select rooms for detail and open Simulation when you are ready to compare heating choices.

Check the geometry

Confirm stairs are straight, openings join the intended rooms and contents sit on the correct floor.

Try alternatives

Move a stove, open or close doors and compare how warmth may travel through the home.

NEXT STEP

Bring measured conditions into the model.

Home Assistant can connect supported sensors and monitors while leaving device ownership in your existing Home Assistant instance.
